Most often a generation is characterised by the the great things that they do. But kudos to our generation. No one can beat us in our trademark. We are that illustrious generation who will be known for the things that we missed to see! More often than not we do not know where to look for greatness! Living in this post modern world we really do not value the value of the most priceless things!
why am I putting on the garb of a puritan? Well i did something totally unexpected from our side. I visited the Sree Chithra Art Gallery here in our own Trivandrum.What is so special about it? It is the place which is often lost between the vast zoo and the populated gardens we call museum. Art Gallery just happens to be there! I have lived about a decade in this town and i have visited this abode of greatness only once! Well for your information this gallery houses the works of the greatest and world renowned Painter Raja Ravi Varma. Introducing the concept of dimensions into the world of painting he reached his glory through an exhibition in Venice.
We know all of his works by constant and stereotyped encounters through tourist brochures, calenders and even in our films. But the real work is still there! we should never be satisfied with mere copies . To know the artist you have to visit the gallery. Drink in his colours, his portraits, a sense of reality in his canvases. Depicting his life and times a one hour visit to this gallery can change the way we see our self as a malayalee!

I really liked Ur passion towards subject, "drink in his colours", shows U r concern, which is at root level...., But break the shell malayalee.... would be more pleased if u have adressed the article to all Indians....
